Open your heart to a world of good
A rescued or adopted cat may bring a decade or more of joy to your life. It also comes with financial responsibility. Initially, you can count on about a $350 one-time expense for vaccinations and spaying or neutering, and then perhaps hundreds more per year for care of your healthy pet.
Quigley’s Shelter Pets takes on that responsibility for all of our rescued animals
Most of the rescued cats under the care of Quigley's Shelter Pets have serious medical issues, which may be chronic and on-going.
"Big-Tom" is a terrific example. This large, lovable lump of orange tiger cat suffers from diabetes. His insulin, medical supplies, and special foods add over $150 per month to the cost of his care.
And then there is the handsome "Squeaker," a lean gray adolescent male. He recently had to undergo amputation surgery and follow-up treatment for a severely infected broken toe, with vet bills quickly exceeding $1,200.
No matter how sick, injured, or desperate, once these beautiful animals reach the security of our shelter, they know they have a safe home for life – plenty of nourishing food, clean water, a warm place to sleep and play, and lots of attention.
How to pay for this medical care isn’t their worry.
